In between my times at Kitty Hawk I led recruiting for Kodiak Robotics, a leader in autonomous trucking. I grew the company from 50 to 100+, hiring key team members that led to Kodiak achieving regular service of entirely autonomous load deliveries between Dallas and Houston while moving customer freight on public highways. Achieving this milestone directly resulted in an oversubscribed Series B raise in November 2021.

I’ve been recruiting for 15+ years, starting in Executive and Engineering centric agencies. For the past decade, I’ve been in-house at industry-defining Silicon Valley start-ups. Most recently, I led talent acquisition for Kitty Hawk Corporation (twice!), growing the technical teams responsible for the Collier Trophy nominated eVTOL program Heaviside (right: pictured in a Heaviside at our Flight Test site in Hollister, CA).

I have also had the good fortune to —

  • Hire for the Finance, Compliance, and Legal teams at Ripple (fka Ripple Labs),
    one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market-cap, both then & now;

  • Lead hiring for the Data Science Instructional staff at Galvanize, the first Data Science Immersive program and first accredited Master’s in Data Science program of its kind in the world;

  • Serve as the recruiting partner to the Head of Autonomous Infrastructure and team at Lyft;
    a team that powered the first & longest running pilot of autonomous vehicles on public roads while also being one of the few majority-minority team of underrepresented technical talent at Lyft;

  • Be the first People hire for Instrumental, responsible for ensuring manufacturing teams were able to ship products during COVID-19 pandemic

  • Give talks, like the one pictured left. Beyoncé’s commercial success is because of her immense ability to attract the team around her. Also have given a talk on why she is the definition of entrepreneurship: always hustling, passionate dedication to improving her craft, and understanding when to take a calculated (even if risky) bet on yourself.
